Spring Car Care Checklist
Spring is in the air and now is the time to think about spring car care for your vehicle. Spring brings with it a sense of renewal and rejuvenation, making it the ideal season to pamper your car and ensure it’s ready to embark on new adventures with you. Whether it’s shaking off the remnants of winter’s harsh conditions or preparing for upcoming road trips under the blossoming trees, investing a little time and attention into your vehicle now can pay dividends in safety, performance, and overall enjoyment down the road. So, as nature awakens from its slumber, use this spring car care checklist and give your car the tender care it deserves!
Our Spring Car Care Checklist:
1 – Wash Interior and Exterior
Exterior: Sand, salt, and chemicals are corrosive on car frames, brake/fluid lines, and even paint. Wash and wax the exterior at a car wash or wash it at home. Make sure to Scrub the tires, clean leaves and debris from under the hood and don’t forget the undercarriage.
2 – INTERIOR: Wash carpeting and upholstery, doors, windows and console, wipe down all surfaces with a damp cloth and clean or replace floor mats. Don’t forget to take out any trash that has accumulated over the winter!
3 – Inspect Wiper Blades
Check front and back wipers. If you are getting streaks or noise, the rubber may be torn off, and you’ll need a wiper change.
4 – Check Fluids
Check windshield washer fluid, brake fluid, transmission, power steering and engine coolant levels. You can find instructions in your owner’s manual, or set up an appointment and let Roberts Automotive do it for you.
5 – Inspect Tires
Check your tires for pot hole damage, like a tire with a bulge or bent wheel lip. While you are checking tires, check the air pressure too.The correct tire pressure is listed in your owner’s manual and also usually on the driver’s door jamb.
